UI Prototyping: Digidice App

This Project Uses: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Xd, Figma

Digidice is an app prototype fit for iOS devices, more specifically for the iPad. This video-chat service allows players of the popular roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons meet up online and play the game together. With a unique dice rolling system and player assets that allow the user to upload their character information, Digidice allows this physical game to work in a digital world.

This project includes:

  • Logo Creation & Ideation

  • Illustration & Icon Creation

  • High-Fidelity Wireframes

  • Working Prototype

This project was created as a team with partnered designer Lena Pham

Creating Assets & Brainstorming

For this project, we wanted to create something that was sustainable and practical when it comes to functionality while incorporating our new ideas for prototyping. Our graphics consist of sidebars, buttons, color palettes, and logo lockups that will be used to format our screens and prototype.

High-Fidelity Wireframes

Using a mix of Adobe Illustrator and Xd, we were able to bring our ideas to life through our first six high-fidelity wireframes. Using our refined graphics and assets along with our new color scheme, we are able to focus on how our apps work from a UI standpoint.

Interactive Prototyping

Using Figma, We’ve created a working prototype using static screens and transitions. The prototype allows us to see how the user can use our many innovative features, including:

  • Creating/hosting your own game

  • Dice-rolling function and mechanics

  • Searching games through filters

  • Watching livestreams and interacting with audiences

  • Chatrooms in both livestreams and in-game.

  • Push notification capabilities

Try It Yourself!

Using Figma’s prototyping section, you’re able to try out the working prototype yourself! Experience many of the different ways you can interact with Digidice. Tap, swipe, and explore many of its features by experiencing our prototype below!
