San Telmo, Buenos Aires

This Project Uses: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe AfterEffects

San Telmo is a city in Buenos Aires that attracts tourists during. the warmer seasons.

For this project, I needed to create an advertising campaign for San Telmo, Buenos Aires. This international campaign would drive in tourists to this attraction on multiple platforms. Using print signage and animated advertisements, we were able to effectively rebrand San Telmo.

This project includes:

  • Logo Creation & Ideation

  • Multimedia Usage of Logos

  • Animated Logos

  • Print Advertisements & Mockups

Logo Sketching & Research

For this, I sat down and worked with many different styles of logos. Mainly wordmarks, lettermarks, but emblems were also something I was leaning towards. I took inspiration from architecture from the city and incorporated that into what would become the new Logo.

Going Digital

I was heavily inspired by the drastic points and divots that can be seen in much of San Telmo’s iconic architecture. Through this shape, I was able to create a emblem styled logo that combined both retro and modern elements.

Print Advertising

For the colors used in the signage, I decided to go for something sunny and easy to understand. These mockup advertisements use photos of San Telmo’s streets and architecture along with light yellows and blues that are also incorporated in the logo.

Lamp Post Signage

These dual-paged posters would be shown together on lampposts in many parts of the globe. Other templates and posters in action can be viewed below!

Online Advertising

For this animated advertisement, I wanted to create something that showcased both the new logo and identity along with what makes San Telmo special.

Complete with angular shapes, beautiful architecture, and refreshing summer tones, this advertisement allows the user to take in the fresh air and scenery of San Telmo.
